In Bed by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

The Floor Scrapers by Gustave Caillebotte.

Broke a large sheet of glass, from one of the picture frames I bought recently to hang my Europe purchases up. My own carelesness, but still the loud crack was rather painful. The two pictures above (both at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris) will be next to each other... The children in bed all restful and the floor scrapers hard at work!

Cartoon: The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci.

Surprise! Storm in a Forest by Henri Rousseau.

Am still thinking of places to put these, they're both dramatic in their own ways. I love the gentle, delicate composition of Leonardo's cartoon. And the fiery colour and action in the Henri Rousseau piece.
